Watch Larry Dixon Suffer The Most Incredible Non-Crash In Drag Racing History!!!

(While Larry Dixon may have ditched out on racing in Australia this year, he’ll always be the driver in this video. This is easily the most incredible non-crash in top fuel history. Larry actually saved this thing from total disaster) This is one of the craziest videos we have ever seen involving a top fuel dragster. Larry Dixon, who is racing both here in the USA and in Australia this year was piloting the Santo’s Cranes fuel dragster at Willowbank Raceway and appears to shear off all the wheel studs on one of the rear tires of his dragster. As the tire leaves the rail, the car pulls a massive and immediate donut in front of the guy in the other lane!

Amazingly it hits nothing and Dixon is able to guide the car back into his own lane. THIS IS INCREDIBLE!

The other car fireballing is a nice added touch. Is any more Aussie racing available online? This looks like a part of a bigger broadcast.

  2. Gary Sanchez

Dixon’s one the all time greats and a little luck this time didn’t hurt, nice outcome.

  3. James Howe

I was there to see this and it sheared the axel in half , all the wheel nut were still attached to the rim on the tyre

  4. Don Richardson

To spin around like that and STILL have the ability to gain controll of his car is the mark of a true professional!! Larry Dixon is, indeed, one of the true legends, just like his Dad!!

I almost seems if the explosion/shockwave from the other engine blew the rear of the dragster sideways. But it appears to happen too quickly for that maybe.

I’m impressed that someone would remember Sullivan’s incredible spin & win from the 1985 Indy 500. That was truely one of the best “driving skills” moments of all time for me, thanks for the memory..!

Oddly enough the engine explosion and the rear axle breaking come within milliseconds of each other.

I may be a little late to the show, but if you watch that video frame by frame (pause the video & hit the left/right arrows) the left lane digger starts blowing up before Dixon loses a tire, I wonder if it had anything to do with it?

  9. Greg Rourke

If the brake caliper came off with the axle/wheel, I wonder if he then lost all the brake fluid and had no brakes? Do these cars have a dual master cylinder, one for each rear brake?

Simple home remedies to take care of your skin are, cucumber slices for puffy eyes, White Hazel to
help tighten skin and pores, drinking lots of water and maybe
taking a dietary supplement rich in vitamins A, C,
and E. Juvena addresses these concerns through their Prevent
and Optimize line which is tailored to the different skin
types. The lotion will help nourish your skin and soothe any irritation shaving has brought on.
