Watch The Infamous Geo Tracker Drag Machine Pull A Bumper Dragging Wheelie Then Wreck Hard!

Watch The Infamous Geo Tracker Drag Machine Pull A Bumper Dragging Wheelie Then Wreck Hard!

It always sucks when we see a car or truck that we’ve shown you performing at a high level crash and burn. Such is the case with this wild little GEO Tracker that we once showed you video of tearing down the strip at South Georgia Motorsports Park last January. The GEO is (or was then) powered by a nitrous injected Ford small block engine and it was consistently leaving the line with the front wheels just off the tarmac. In this video, you’ll see the GEO dead hook, go into an instant bumper dragger, come crashing back down to Earth, hit the wall, and then flop onto its roof.

The little truck looks to have sustained some pretty severe damage in the encounter and you can literally see the front of it fold up, absorbing the impact and damaging God knows what in the already tight-ish engine compartment. There are parts and pieces of the little truck strewn into a decent debris field across the track by the time it comes to a stop.

This sucks because the Tracker is a great looking and hard running truck. It appears unassuming but once you actually saw it hook and go, all the world knew that it was making big suds and had the chassis to match. Now the dude it probably wishing that he had wheelie bars to prevent this ugliness from happening.

Here’s to hoping they can patch the truck back up or that they build something else cool and different for next season!

All those sparks start before it veers to the right, perhaps the differential blew?

Too bad, that sounded like a healthy engine.

it happened fast, and something broke when it came down. its in the process of repairs, and will def have bars next time. it didnt have bars caz its a street car. it is now gonna be a race car.

Chris I’m starting to build a Tracker and was wnating to ask few questions on chassis set up. I would really appreciate if you could give a little info.1-580-916-0853. That’s a sick ride.

I was wondering what kind of car a geo was. Then I realize it’s what we call a Suzuki Vitara here in Australia. plenty of those around here if you want to rebody 😉

Does it look like the right rear wheel is not rotating? If the differential locked up, that could cause the rear wheels to stop spinning, just like jamming on the brakes.
