What In The? That’s A Ford Ka Powered By A Barra Murdering Tires!

Here’s what you need to know about the Ford Ka: It’s a “city car” (read: damn tiny) that was running with Ford’s New Edge styling, prone to body rot, and was running with a 1.3L four that could be dated back to the 1950s Kent design. Oh, and there were the 2006 advertisements that Ford had to withdraw, because one saw two pigeons getting smacked away from the car and another that saw the Ka behead a curious cat with a sunroof. The end…that’s all you need to know. It’s a front-drive Micro Machine that looks like the chock block that a Ford Raptor came with. 60-something horsepower just isn’t gonna cut it here.

So, naturally, we pay attention when the rear wheels are turning and the soundtrack sounds like a pissed off FPV Typhoon instead of an overpowered weed eater. Once again, the cutting torch, welder and imagination overpower the normal reaction of, “How in the hell did they jam that engine into that car?!” You want to run the power to weight argument? A turbocharged Barra in a Ford Ka has to have the acceleration of a startled hummingbird that fears for it’s life.

Whatever it takes to keep these random crazy-ass builds happening, keep it coming. Maybe we’ll see a Hellcat-powered Dodge Dart…the new version.
