We’re a sucker for a good, rowdy mud truck. It’s one of the few times where you can go foot-to-floor for a sustained amount of time while you’re out romping in the sloppy, soupy, or chunky stuff. It’s got to be a hard-wired instinct that dates back to childhood, when you found that wet dirt was nice and malleable and that if you rolled your toy car through the muddy puddle, that you got a muddy splash out of the deal that looked amazing. Whatever the reason is, we love mud, and we love loud, screaming engines, so it is a natural fit for us.

When Midnight Madness sent in this clip, we didn’t see a title for the video. We just saw a square-body GM truck set up as a mega truck that looks primed and ready to get dirty in a loud and fast manner in Virginia. And in that regard, it does not disappoint…as soon as the go-ahead is given this howler lets loose and goes straight for the redline. But it’s second bounce in the pit becomes it’s own undoing and before anyone was aware of what was happening, the back end had kicked up and the Chevy turned turtle in a pretty solid manner, coming to rest upside-down and on fire.

We never like to see anybody’s rig get trashed, but damn, this thing was on a tear when it all went wrong…
