Drivers take all of the risk when they choose to race. It doesn’t matter if you are pro, semi-pro or it’s your first lap or run down the strip…it’s all on you when you suit up, strap in and line up. I’ve got plenty of motorcycle wrecks underneath my belt, both in competition and in normal riding. We’ve heard about SRTMush’s Demon getting a case of concrete poisoning at Beech Bend earlier this week, and we’ve heard about the crash-fest that the last NASCAR race at Daytona turned out to be. (By the way, go hunt down the driver/spotter audio for that race if you want to hear some aggravated drivers.) Crashing is one of those things…it’s not a matter of if you crash, just a matter of when. Simple statistics will assure you that the longer you play, the more likely it is that you are going to pay the piper. It happens, and all you can do is put your faith in your safety equipment and hope for the best. Here’s the latest round of mishaps, misjudgements, and other bad-luck scenes courtesy of carnage collector RacingFail…try not to shed a tear for the last wreck. I promise you, that one is going to leave some pain in a wallet.
