DragRacingOnline.com is reporting that General Motors has withdrawn its sponsorship of Warren and Kurt Johnson’s NHRA Pro Stock operation.

This is a virtual death blow for Warren Johnson’s car as his carries the GM Performance Parts livery on the sides to pay the bills. Kurt Johnson’s primary backer is ACDelco. They have thus far been quiet according to the news item on DRO.

Warren Johnson has not only been a racer for GM but has also participated on engineering and development projects like the LSX block, DRCE racing engines and cylinder heads as well as other projects that have seen some use in production engines.
