Sure, it may fall into the “weird little foreign car” category but this little 1957 Fiat 500 that is powered by an angry Subaru WRX STi engine is quick enough to run 11s at Bandimere Speedway outside of Denver and it does so wearing a set of street legal wheelie bars (at least they are in Colorado!). We think that this car represents a lot of hard work and creativity by the owner/seller/builder and he provides some great photos to show off some of that hard work. This guy did everything from the bare chassis up and that is cool to us. This isn’t a stock unit that he slammed a motor into. There was a bunch of thought into this thing and while it is not a corner burner with all that weight out over the back, we bet wheelies on the street are fun and also ruining the egos of domestic late model muscle car owners as well.

The stance is higher than we would have expected on a car like this and we’re not really sure why. It does have a little bit of a baja bug look to it but then again the thing is so tiny in the first place, even subtle changes seem exaggerated. If we got hold of this thing we’d put some mini-tubs in the rear and get a decent little drag radial bolted to the back of this car and badd some skinny wheels and tires up front. It is not a handler right now and we’re really going to make sure that corners are an adventure!
We dig the heck out of the way the rear spoiler was opened up to allow the factory intercooler to be used to keep the engine happy on the horsepower side. The whole thing is pretty awesome and dealing humiliation to our foes would really be the most fun!
