We have told you how nuts things get at the World Power Wheelstanding Championships held each year at Byron Dragway in Illinois but here’s some primo video proof. Sure, there’s a 1969 Camaro that pulls some massive wheelies but it is how the guys got the power to bounce this sucker off the bumper twice that is the real story. Then engine was helped out with nitrous but not in the way you think. As you’ll see, the botth was literally ratchet strapped into the passenger seat and the line was passed through the window, and then under the hood, into the carb. This is something that we have all dreamed of doing and these guys actually had the guts to try it. NEWSFLASH: this is not the most brilliant idea in the world for about 1,567 reasons that we can think of immediately. We’d really ask you not to try this at home, but apparently you can try it at Byron!
Apparently the nitrous bottle and creative plumbing was added to give the car more power to carry some of the wheelies out longer. We have no record of how spectacular or long their previous efforts were but with this innovative nitrous system we can tell you that the car definitely scored high on the scale over vertical wheelies and sparks released upon hard landing. When you see the first one happen and the car smashes back to Earth you’ll be sure (like we were) that they weren’t going to try that again…but they do and it is even more nasty than the first attempt! Whoever built this car gets a gold seal from us because we figured that the front end would be blasted, the oil pan would be busted, and the headers would be flat. Well, maybe the second one did that. This is dangerous as hell.
DO NOT DO THIS!
Give him enough tries and he will eventually accomplish his goal and hit the wall. At least no major parts falling off the car during the abuse which speaks to someone’s build skills.
Seen fox bodys so alot better…lol now tie blues..
