Best of BS 2016: Watch A V8 Powered VW Pre-Runner Break Every Law Known In San Diego

UPDATE: YEAH, THIS GUY WENT TO JAIL.

Blame Charles Wickam for this one. This short film titled “Urban Assault” shows an LS powered VW pre-runner that goes completely mental through the streets of San Diego, California. Every single vehicular and driving law known to man is broken over the course of a couple minutes here. From massive jumps on city streets to treating off-ramps like half pipes, this is kind of an outlaw version of the Ken Block videos we have all come to love. The major difference? When Block goes out and acts like an escaped mental patient in a car the roads are closed, the authorities know what is going on and there’s very minimal risk to people and personal property. DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME.

At one point early in the video you can see an older guy on the phone. He’s likely chatting with the cops to let them know that someone is making sky box level jumps on his street. We’re thinking he’s not the only one as there are multiple occasions in this video of the car hurtling up and over stuff on private property, running through neighborhoods, and doing stuff on open roads that would not have a cop yelling, it would have a SWAT team putting the driver in a choke hold.

Pay close attention to one of the “off-ramp” scenes. When the driver pulls up on the embankment and then hurtles back down on the pavement it looks as though he loses the handle on it and goes into a spin just when the shot cuts to the next one. The would have been bad if a large truck, family, or anything else happened to have been cruising around the blind corner.

This is a crazy watch. DON’T TO THIS AT HOME. We’re interest to see what the potential fallout of this may be to the people involved who are smartly never named. People have done other stuff like this and ended up in hot water. Whoever the license plate on this VW belongs to may be more famous then they ever hoped in a few days. Nuts!

Press play to see the craziest video we have ever seen –

Please stop making stupid people famous…

No different than vids street racing or doing burnouts in public… all it odes is call attention to the illegal activity and encourage others to do the same. In the 70’s streaking became common… until they stopped giving them air time and pressing charges.

I’ll get off my soap box now and say – very very very cool vehicle – I want one.

I noticed that too, guy was having a heart attack. I figured they must have really worn out their welcome

if you are into off road you would know the old guy in the shirt, stop being a bunch of old whiners, better than sitting on the couch smoking a blunt with Obama,

They list all their names in a set of credits at the end of the video. They weren’t trying to be anonymous

Cool vid. I always look at stuff while Im driving and wonder about jumping it!

From the looks of the comments on here it seems Bangshift and AARP have joined forces. Yall get part discounts or what?

Ken Block and BJ Baldwin do it right and it’s cool! This is NOT cool and mega stupid! It’s never alright to endanger innocent people. Hope the driver loses his license, pays a hefty fine and has the vehicle confiscated. Douche bag! Another high performance car with a low IQ driver.

Cue two huge FE-powered bulldozers parked across the street round a blind corner. Watch that LS hunka shit fly through the air and smash through the windows of a retirement home where it decapitates most of the residents.

This is what happens when rich idiots are allowed on the street in their new toy – maybe their parents should be sterilised to avoid this ever happening again!

Without a cop being present to witness the crime and charge the driver on the scene, it is very hard to make anything stick. And with how many corporate lawyers must be representing the driver, the DA wouldn’t even waste their time. Now when some Gomer from the trailer park does it in his Chevy, it could be a different story.
Skaters and bicycle people have been making videos like this for decades, braking as many, if not more laws. Alls it takes is planning.

so since you’re providing armchair legal advice, the video showing the face of the driver, listing the names of the people involved, and listing off sponsors (which will gladly pass up the info on the driver to avoid liability) not be enough? I’d say it easily is…….

A bunch of those shots are at San Diego State University. I am sure they will be happy to know who to blame for driving through the landscaping

Everyone with a car like this (most every young hot rodder too) has envisioned doing something stupid like this, forgetting legalities, cool video
