It is a fair assumption to say that while not everyone reading this has played Jenga before, most everyone should know what the game is. Played with a bunch of little wooden blocks, the players take turns pulling pieces out of the lower realm of the structure and adding them to the top. The taller the tower gets the less stable it gets. Many beer-addled “engineering” decisions have been made over the years that result in someone looking like a genius or an idiot snd sending the whole works tumbling down. It is a game of steady hands and strategy. The blocks are just little piece of wood and a wrong or hard placement can kill your chances of winning.
Now imagine that same game being played with a 600lb blocks and a group of machinery ranging from a skid steer to an excavator with a pincher bucket on the end of the dipper and you have the reason for this video being so cool. There’s a nearly unending list of tricks and feats that get performed by highly skilled equipment operators all over the world but we dig this one because few of those things are a team effort, right? Normally it is one guy doing something. In this case it is multiple operators in multiple machines with a guy “directing traffic” in the middle.
What they do and how they do it is highly impressive, especially when you see the precision of the block placements and just how deft the operators are with their machines. The one thing we don’t know is how many takes this was shot it. Did they do it multiple times, getting the tower higher and higher? Impossible to know but we sure appreciate the skill that these dudes exhibit!
