Thunder Bucket: Watch This Nasty Slick-Equipped, Blown SBC T-Bucket Pull Wheelies On The Street

Thunder Bucket: Watch This Nasty Slick-Equipped, Blown SBC T-Bucket Pull Wheelies On The Street

Chad hates anything to do with the style of car known as a t-bucket. I do not hate them as hard as Chad does but few of them actually do anything for me because while they have the cartoon looks we all like (lots of engine, minimal body, big n’ littles, etc) they aren’t really practical and they can’t be used for much…unless you are this guy. In the case of this guy’s t-bucket he has a roll bar in it, slicks on the back, and a huffed 383 stroker in the front of the vehicle with the same wheelbase and base weight as a shopping cart. Long story short, this thing can pull the wheels on the street and it looks like something that stumbled out of a 1970s drag racing video and into modern times.

The car seems to have actually been built with the intention to race. It has ladder bars, the aforementioned slicks, the roll bar, seating for none, and dual quads atop a 4-71 blower that is feeding a 383 small block Chevy. This is no poser rod, the thing is built to GO. Supposedly the thing weighs 2,000lbs with the driver in it and the engine makes 650hp. The transmission is a Turbo 400 and the rear end is a 12-bolt with 4.56 gears in the back.

While I’m not sure I’d actually ever want to drive this thing, let along sit in the passenger side, it is still pretty impressive watching a t-bucket perform more than just a power parking ritual, right? At least if you crashed it you know you’d be dead and not troubled with all those lingering injuries. You think I’m kidding? What would happen to this little bugger in a wreck? Everything would happen, that’s what.

I’m pretty sure that even Chad can’t hate too badly on this one. It is fast as blazes!
