If you have an electronic automatic transmission, like the 4L80e we run in the 1966 Chevrolet Bel Air Wagon, then your ECU can control the shift points as they are totally programmable. But what if you have a C6, or TH400, or some other factory automatic that isn’t computer controlled? That’s where either a CO2 or electric shift solenoid can come in handy.
