Carburetor How To: Setting Up And Installing An Edelbrock Carburetor To Replace An Old Worn Out Carb

Have you ever heard someone say “I just bolted that new carb on and never even touched it! And it runs perfect!”? Yeah, me too. And to be honest, that’s usually bs. Not that they aren’t telling the truth about the install, but that they really don’t have a clue what running perfect is like. When you buy a performance replacement carburetor they often need some work in order to be ready to bolt on. Sometimes there are configuration changes that need to be made based on the application, and other times they are just initial settings and adjustments.

In this video, Scott is putting an Edelbrock carburetor on a Ford engine and is going to go through what it takes to get it setup, installed and tuned so it is ready to drive.

Video Description:

In this video I show you how to set up an Edelbrock carb before installing it and making it run. We also show you how to adjust the choke, the idle mixture, idle speed, and even the high speed idle when the choke is on. We also have to readjust the timing as it actually changed after changing out a carburetor that was running badly.
