A man was killed Friday when he snuck onto the racing surface at Sebring International Raceway, in Sebring, Florida, and crashed his pickup truck. The man went into the track under cover of darkness and was apparently involved in a fiery wreck while speeding down a closed portion of the course.
This was not the work of a wayward teen either. The driver of the truck was 63 years old. He made it onto the track at 11 PM and went into an area that is no longer used for active racing. The area he was on is actually part of the original track that was run on the concrete runways at the former WWII Bomber training base.
