(Photos by Ken Cox) – One of the neatest things about BangShift is that we’ve got a literal network of talented lensmen (and women!) spread clear across the USA, Canada, England, and even Australia! These are the folks who provide the images allowing us to take you to shows, races, and events all over the world and in so many different disciplines of motorsports and automotive interest. Our newest man on the scene is Ken Cox from the greater Detroit area. He’s got a great eye and will be following some killer projects his pals are building, shooting some features, and covering shows of interest in the motor city. Ken sent a stack of his favorite images along for us to share, and we compiled more than 30 of them for your viewing pleasure.
Ken joined the Detroit photography scene in 2011 with an ambition to bring a fresh perspective to the automotive world. Born and bred alongside the legendary blacktop of Woodward Avenue, Ken found humble beginnings in documenting giant turbos, titanic engine blocks, and trend-setting builds, which eventually led to the founding of kcox Photography.
When he isn’t on a shoot, Ken is a fanatical advocate of chicken piccata, bowling, the Birmingham 8, and sleepers. He is also very passionate about BMX.
