Auto Trader Classics Find: The Only 1975 Volvo We’d Ever Own

Auto Trader Classics Find: The Only 1975 Volvo We’d Ever Own

It is kind of amazing how much effect the basic act of swapping an engine can have on the desirability of a car. In normal form we wouldn’t wish a 1975 Volvo 240 on our worst enemy, but when it is packing a 350 and a 6-cog manual transmission, we’re drooling. The whole package is shockingly cool with tasteful wheels, blacked out windows and pretty decent looking black paint.

We know that Paul Newman had a Volvo that was packing domestic V8 power, his was a wagon with a small block Ford mill. As cool as that car is, we think this one blows its doors off and may actually blow its doors off.

The whole resto job was only done 3,000 miles ago so this whole car is virtually new. We’s scrap the front seats for something less 1975 and more road race themed. Other than that, this car is pretty bad ass.

For $9,900 bucks it seems like smart money to us!
