Ride Atop The Blown, Nitro Burning Hemi Powered 911 Roadster As It Runs 253 MPH On DIRT At El Mirage

We’re back with more awesome video from on top of the famed 911 blown fuel roadster. This is the car we took you for a ride on at Bonneville where it went 295mph on the salt with its 5,000hp detuned top fuel motor providing the motivation. Chad has been to El Mirage before, I have not. I have spoken to lots of guys that have raced there and they largely report that it is a hard, dusty, challenging place to run. Yes, the car ran 40mph faster at Bonneville, but you have to remember something. The course at El Mirage is only 1.3-miles long…and it is friggin’ dirt! The 911 is not the fastest roadster in El Mirage history, the standing record is 280.552 mph set in 1994 by the Swain Bros-Helash-Hoover A/Blown Fuel Modified Roadster.

According to guys that were there with names that rhyme with “dyed-firther” the roadster was digging so hard down the course that it basically looked like a pair of trenching machines went down the course! You can see the car yaw and move around through the whole pull but it is expertly driven and the pucker factor in our office chair was probably worse than from the driver’s seat.

This car is one for the ages and the fact that you’ll see it run more than 250mph in the span of 1.3-miles on DIRT should put it high on your list of all time most awesome iron as well!

THE BEASTLY HEMI IS LIT AT 1:30 AND THE CAR HEADS DOWN COURSE AT 2:50
