This Clean Pro Street 1965 Chevelle Couldn’t Be Built For Twice The $16,000 Asking Price.

This Clean Pro Street 1965 Chevelle Couldn’t Be Built For Twice The $16,000 Asking Price.

We love 1965 Chevelles. They are the best of the two years of “small” Chevelle, and since we grew up with a 1965 El Camino in the driveway they have just always been special. But, although our El Camino did start off red, it certainly wasn’t this red, or this cool. Check out the meets on the back of this cool 1965 Chevelle 300 Deluxe Pro Streeter. Being a 300 means it is a post car, which we actually like better anyway, and it would have come with a bench seat with really cool textured cloth interior. That’s not what it has in it now. Now, it’s a pretty trick Pro Street piece with all the goodies, except big power. The 430 horsepower small block isn’t going to rotate the earth, but it’s a starting point at least.

If you are in the market for a big tire car, this one could be a pretty good place to start. With a $16,000 asking price, you would be saving at least that just by paying what the seller is asking. The cagework looks pretty nice, the tin work looks great, there are some very good parts in the car, and the body and paint are laser straight. The body work and paint alone would cost $10k or more today. If we had $16,000 and even half the space needed to house this one, we’d have it in the California headquarters of BangShift.com. But, since we don’t have either, we’re going to leave it up to you to make it part of the BangShift family. Buy this thing, put a nitrous kit on it, and go have some fun.

Chad, this has your name written all over it.

Think about it; off your other semi-stagnant project cars and select from your collection of engines and be on the track and lookin’ good within days/weeks!

    Just don’t scratch the paint.

Gosh, George, what makes you think that?

I know there are Barrett-Jackson-thinkin’ people out there, but that car seems to be of value.

Do you think it’s photo-shopped or really old pics?

If I lived within reasonable driving range of Redlands, I’d venture a look-see.

If I remember correctly, it’s known as “tilt-shift” photography, or a special effect they add to the picture.

Looks like a fairground queen or lawn-chair nationals car if I’ve ever seen one! Really puts the “pro” in pro-street.

It’s real, there are a lot of scams but not everyone restores you on price. Actually, many people fair just fine selling there car for a reasonable price. I like my card and trucks to be worth a lot to but there’s no send in driving prices through the moon. It just makes it harder to buy the next one.
