Dream Team: RideTech and Lingenfelter Partner Up For OUSCI 2016!

Dream Team: RideTech and Lingenfelter Partner Up For OUSCI 2016!

It’s a match made in heaven designed to give other racers hell. Yes, RideTech and Lingenfelter Performance Engineering are joining forces once more to bring the heat at the Optima Ultimate Street Car Invitational on November 5th at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The weapon will be the LPE LS7 powered RideTech 48-Hour Corvette.

The 48-Hour Corvette has been on the track for a couple of seasons now and driver Chris Smith has really done well with the car, racking up several Goodguys wins, and very strong finishes at events across the country. This is a stock, not tube chassis car that wears the RideTech R-spec suspension system for maximum performance.

The rule story from RideTech is below but we think this is another great example of two aftermarket powerhouses getting together and flexing their muscles! OUSCI 2016 is not going to disappoint pro touring fans who follow the action!

RIDETECH AND LINGENFELTER TEAM UP FOR OUSCI
RideTech and Lingenfelter have teamed up again to participate in the Optima Search for the Ultimate Streetcar event in Las Vegas on Nov. 5 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

RideTech President Bret Voelkel commented: “We are really looking forward to this Optima event. With scheduling and other logistical issues getting in the way, we have not been able to run any of those events yet in 2016…it will be good to demonstrate the Lingenfelter horsepower and the advances that RideTech has made this year in shock and suspension technology.”.

RideTech/Lingenfelter will be running the RideTech 48-Hour Corvette, a stock chassis 1972 Corvette with a 650 HP Lingenfelter LS7 engine, Holley EFI, Bowler T56 Magnum, Baer Brakes, Forgeline Wheels, and a complete RideTech R-Spec suspension. Chris Smith, driver and tuner of the 48-Hour Corvette commented: “We have worked quite hard this year developing and tuning the new R-Spec Series suspension for this Corvette…OUSCI will be it’s first full public debut.”.

“We’ve worked closely with RideTech in the OPTIMA Search for the Ultimate Street Car Series for the past five years and we’ve certainly enjoyed partnering with them on the ’72 Corvette 48-Hour Build car, now in its second year of competition.  Chris Smith has come to appreciate the reliability and driveability of our 650 horsepower LS7 engine.  We’re expecting a strong finish,” said Mark Rapson, Vice President of Operations, Lingenfelter Performance Engineering.
