This past March, the “A-bom”, the blacked-out Chrysler SRT-8 with the blower sticking through the hood from Arizona, got knocked out of commission. A driver who hadn’t slept in over a day attempted to pass the Chrysler and struck head-on traffic, which forced the SRT-8 off of the road and into a tree face-first. Luckily, nobody was seriously injured, but the evil looking Chrysler took one hell of a hit to the face.
After sorting out the damage and seeing what survived the impact, Matt Leischer has decided that the A-bom will be reborn, and he has put out a call for parts, including a radiator, air conditioning condenser, hood, bumper reinforcements, the upper and lower radiator supports and the front and rear bumper covers. SRT pieces or anything aftermarket, custom or interesting is welcomed. We are looking forward to the car returning, more pissed-off than ever, and we are especially glad to see that Matt has chosen to rebuild. The world needs more vehicles like this car.
Am I the only one hearing George Thorogood’s “Bad to the Bone” in the background? A modern day “Christine”.
Nope. I’m hearing it too
