The eyes of the NHRA drag racing world have all turned toward Bandimere Speedway as they have done for decades at this time of the year. The kick off for the grueling, vaunted, and frankly awesome “Western Swing” begins tomorrow and there are racers, crew, announcers, and fans coming into the Denver area from all over the world with the idea of getting in on the action in whatever way they know how. It is going to be a hot one up on the mountain and we’re excited to be there ourselves. What makes a good race? The track itself is a HUGE element of it. The track sets the tone for the area all year long and the NHRA rolls into town for a single rip.
The Bandimere family has operated this place in an awesome way since the day that it opened. They continue today with a flawless facility, a capable race staff, and the continued creative mindset that has made them innovators for years and years.
The fans at Bandimere and New England Dragway have one thing awesomely in common. A love of sportsman racing. The stands will be packed for super gas as hard as they will for stock and top sportsman this weekend. True fans at truly great track.
This documentary tells the amazing story of one of America’s finest racing facilities in any genre of competition. A family with vision, drive, and dedication made it all possible and continues to make it possible today. A worthy tribute.
