Need To Make Simple Custom Floor Pans For Your Project Like We Do? Watch This

As we prepare to finally get started on the custom chassis for Cole’s Pro Touring LUV Truck, we found that it was probably going to be easier to remove the floor pans than to notch and cut and then have to weld every joint from underneath rather than on both sides. So we cut those suckers out. We kept the originals in case we decided we needed to use any part of them again, but I am figuring there is a better chance than not that we’ll be building new panels from scratch. This video with Matt from Eastwood will help you do the same thing, with some tips and tricks to keep the metal flat and nice even after bead rolling some strengthening ribs into them.

What we like about videos like this is the fact that they help to calm you when something isn’t going just the way you thought it would. Often times the best tech tips aren’t just on how NOT to do something, but also how to fix it when you do something wrong. Matt’s tips on how to do it right will also tell you what you have done wrong when something just doesn’t seem right. We dig it, and we’ll use his process for some of our panels!
