Big Noise, Big Power: Watch The Bruder Brothers Make Hub Dyno Pulls With Their ProCharger Equipped X275 Mustang

Big Noise, Big Power: Watch The Bruder Brothers Make Hub Dyno Pulls With Their ProCharger Equipped X275 Mustang

This video is awesome. It is awesome because one of the most iconic cars in the history of small tire drag racing is featured. It is awesome because an absolutely roaring ProCharged small block Ford is featured, and it is awesome because the newest transformative technology in drag racing, the hub dyno is featured as well. Rich and Nick Bruder have long been staples in the X275 world and they have taken their experience and their success and leveraged into a full time career in drag racing as both racers and tuners. The guys are not afraid to push the boundaries, they are not afraid to stand up for what they believe it, and they are not afraid to master whatever combination they feel is most favorable in the rule book.

From turbocharged stuff, centrifugally blown stuff, the famous departure into the Roots blower world, and more, the Bruders are (in our opinion) the best X275 racers of all time. That’s a heady claim and they certainly have their detractors, but to do what they have done with so many different engine combos is amazing. Guys like Dean Marinis are right there as well. Marinis did his damage over the years (and continues to) with nitrous combos and there’s respect for anyone who can master a car and engine setup like he has. This being said, the neatest thing about the blue Mustang is the knowledge that every year will be a new adventure watching and following it.

Race engine builder Anthony Disomma is the man who handles the horsepower construction for the Bribers and has for some time. In this video we see the guys making multiple pulls, hell just look at the daylight fading into night to show how long a day this was, on a hub dyno. These hub dynos and their proliferation have changed the way that people work on drag race cars setup. You can show up to the track with far more driveline information than you ever had before. Ultimately you have to make it all work, but hub dyno tuning has advanced the game and moved people’s testing schedules up. That’s always cool and it helps to advance the sport.
