Tall Drink Of Bad Ass: This 572ci Hemi Has A 10-71 Blower And Four Digit Horsepower On Tap!

While it has not been too loudly crowed about over the last couple of years, the availability of good quality blocks for the legendary Gen II hemi has been really spotty. The aftermarket offerings were not that good and quality has always been an issue, the factory stuff is huge money and worn to the ends of its life whenever you can find it. The situation has made the already daunting prospect of building a Gen II hemi engine for a street machine even that much more challenging.

Enter Callies and Energy Manufacturing. They are now producing an aftermarket 426 hemi block that uses so much of the factory engineering, their own high quality manufacturing processes, and plenty of modern engineering tweaks to provide the best platform for builders and enthusiasts to get their hemi on with.

In this video the crew from Prestige Motorsports builds a 572ci version of the hemi, tops it with a 10-71 blower and EFI, and then lets it all rip on the engine dyno. The result is awesome. The massive engine makes more than 1,000hp with the party pulley installed and the torque is nearly in the four digit range as well!

This gargantuan package is headed for the nose of a road runner and if you see it rumbling around the state fair, you best not laugh because that sucker is no fairgrounds queen, it’s a 1,000hp bad ass!

Press play below to see this 1,000+ horsepower hemi build – huge by large engine!

Cool new block but this engine is a total poser. I mean a 572 ci Hemi solid roller with a huge 10-71 blower and a top fuel looking injector hat that only makes 1000 HP on race gas? A decently built NA 632 BBC will kick this engines ass. Guarantee the car this thing ends up in will be driven by THAT guy at big car shows. You know the guy. The one that cruises around the grounds all day with the blower surging just to try to impress everyone. LOL.

Wouldn’t want that boys gas bill at today’s prices. But it is a cool engine even if it is under powered.
