FIRE! Attempting To Straighten Out The HalfAss Kustoms 1935 Dodge Coupe Project They Are Now Calling The Phoenix.

FIRE! Attempting To Straighten Out The HalfAss Kustoms 1935 Dodge Coupe Project They Are Now Calling The Phoenix.

With a lot of the fire cleanup done, and just a small garage space to work in currently, Brent from Halfass Kustoms has been working on fixing equipment and getting some small projects done. But his biggest project yet, a 1932 Dodge Coupe that he was building from scratch using 4 door parts, was seriously damaged in the fire and has been sitting outside looking sad. When Karl from Make It Kustom said he was coming to visit, Brent decided that maybe the two of them could smash on the Coupe in an effort to get it a little straighter so it is ready for it’s turn once a replacement shop can be built. Watch because there is some funny stuff going on here and a lot of bashing. Fire is some nasty stuff!

If you missed it the other day, we posted a video from Brent and Esther’s home shop, Halfass Kustoms, after a fired ripped through the building destroying everything. They were on the road, on their way home from a show in Texas, and still hours away from their place in Canada when it happened. If you missed that first video, use the link below to check it out. Luckily nobody was hurt, including their dogs Pablo and Buddy, but the shop is a total loss. Unfortunately, when things like this happen, you can’t just go in and start cleaning up because the insurance company has to do their thing and fire department reports have to be finished, etc, etc. For someone who’s lost everything, waiting to be able to see if anything survived is sometimes just as bad as losing it in the first place.

Brent is a guy with an infectious laugh and a carefree attitude. He’s the one that constantly says that if he messes up on some metal shaping or fabrication, it’s no big deal because you can just cut it apart and weld it back together. It’s just metal. And he’s right. But this is going to be hard to laugh and smile through.

Video Description:

In this video Karl from @makeitkustom and I work on our 1935 Dodge coupe and make an attempt at straightening the car out a little. You can also check out Karl on his channel @MakeItKustom and see his version when he puts them up.
