(Photos and words by Doug Gregory) – Muscle cars.  Traditionally seen as running from the early-60s to the early 70s with exceptions and bright spots in history following that.  This is not a place to argue what is and isn’t a ‘muscle car’.  The name is quite blurred by now so we can paint over these with a wide brush.  When NSRA opened up the events to later years this is one group I was really looking forward to being added.  Be they day 2 builds, Pro Street, full restorations, or mild cruises – these represent the era when I caught the car bug so they resonate with me a bit more than others.

Each year we go I try to seek out cars we haven’t shown previously and managed a decent job this year with a few exceptions.  Earlier this year we had many images of Jeff Mumford’s ‘Snot Rocket’ day-two, green, 2^nd-gen Camaro.  I can’t get enough of it so we are trying to arrange a time to bring you a full-feature on this masterpiece.  The styling is like stepping back into the 70s on main street USA all over again.  Okay….I’m calm now.
