PRI 2017: Hammerhead Performance Engines Has Hemi Head Options For Your Small Block Ford and LS Engine

When it comes to hardcore parts and innovations for making horsepower, cylinder heads are really where it is at. Advances in materials, advances in engineering, and advances in machining capability have completely and utterly changed the landscape of the cylinder head world over the last decade. The good old days of a head guy who was a magician with his hands and intrinsically “knew” how to make junky heads work better. There’s really no reason anymore, unless class rules dictate, to throw time and money at the old school approach.

One company who brought some simply radical pieces of cylinder head heaven to PRI was Hammerhead Performance Engines. These guys build some really gnarly engines and thy have developed hemi heads for small block Ford and LS applications that have the promise to move air by the ton, make big power, and not only that but drop jaws in the process. Think you’ll run into bunch of guys at the local strip or your local hangout with a hemi headed small block Ford or LS engine? Yeah, we didn’t think so. While not cheap, it sounds like $6,000 gets you the heads, a Jesel valve train, cast aluminum valve cover, and a valley cover. We oogled these babies through the glass and they are freaking awesome.

Hopefully we soon see some dyno testing with engines that have ’em bolted on!

Check out these hunks of hemi goodness right here – big power potential!

    WTF?

A Hemi Headed Ford Small Block?

Very interesting as Ford are the only manufacturer that built cars that can handle this power – Ford Hemi GT40 anybody?
