Cincinnati Cavalcade Of Customs 2017: Drag Cars, No Prep Stars, and Lots Of Horsepower

Cincinnati Cavalcade Of Customs 2017: Drag Cars, No Prep Stars, and Lots Of Horsepower

(Words and photos by Doug Gregory) – Some of our readers that are grudge race, no-prep, and outlaw fans might recognize a few of the cars early on in this gallery.  The 513 area code is represented well.  We liked the 4th-gen Camaro TA/FC though my son said the blower pulley could stand to be a bit smaller.

If there was a car to rival the ’65 Riviera  Gran Sport for my pick as best car it would be this white ’66 Chevy II.  This car is so right it’s not funny.  Of course, that is to my untrained eyes and my vote doesn’t count so….  Still, it took some hardware home.  The frost green bug was a great example of attention to detail and mild touches to set a car apart.  Very, very nice.  The blue T-bird caught me by surprise because there weren’t any other cars like it around.  After standing back and taking it in for a bit I get the look and it works for me.  It was sort of tucked out of the way so I hope other folks noticed it too and went in for a closer look.

Thanks for gawking at the pictures.  Now up the escalator to where the lighting goes from marginal to useless.  Still, cool cars to see so stay tuned in.
