The Goodguys Rod and Custom Association have been putting on shows in Texas for several years, but this year has three events in the Lone Star State. This weekend is the second of the three events for 2021 and we went out yesterday, braving some rain showers, to enjoy the show and check out some cool rides. We’ve got four galleries worth of photos from the event, which includes hot rods, customs, muscle cars, trucks, and late models of all kinds. This is a Get Together event, which means it is open to any American car or American-powered car, regardless of year. These events tend to be big and have a whole lot of variety.
We showed up in the morning, just about the time the rain had stopped and we were about to park when the showers started again. Normally the event would have been packed by 10 am, but with the rain, cars were showing up a bit later. We waited for the rain to stop and then started walking the show. It wasn’t packed, but in the hour we’d been waiting for the showers to stop there had been a lot more cars coming in the gates. We walked the swap meet, the car show, the vendors, and took a lot of pictures all along the way.
As usual, the variety of cars and trucks at this show was great. The Lone Star State has some killer rides and even though the show wasn’t full that shined through.
