1320Video Goes DEEP Behind The Scenes At The NHRA Finals – Stuff You’ve Never Seen, Fresh Perspective!

1320Video Goes DEEP Behind The Scenes At The NHRA Finals – Stuff You’ve Never Seen, Fresh Perspective!

Several months ago, 1320Kyle reached out and said, “Hey, we’ve never been to an NHRA National event to shoot, who do we need to talk to?” I got the guys hooked up with the right people and I was excited that they were going to be coming to the NHRA Auto Club Finals in Pomona to get their first taste of NHRA Camping World Drag Racing. The guys came in with fresh eyes, loads of questions, and a real thirst to see and do as much stuff as they possibly could. It was awesome to see and now the fruits of their labor are being revealed. This is the first in a series of videos that they will make of their experience at Pomona.

I was able to give them some tour guide assistance through our NHRAonFOX TV compound, which is an admittedly neat place to call an office. You’ll see the innards of the TV trucks and get a sense as to just how many people are involved in making the shows that we bring from each and every race.

Beyond that, these guys kill it. Spending time on the starting line, learning stuff from Lanny Miglizzi the track specialist at John Force Racing, touring the Jeg’s pro stock trailer, watching racing, and even testing the noise level of pro stock, top fuel, and nitro funny car action from the stands with a decibel meter!

This is fun.

I’ve been to many NHRA national events, but I didn’t realize the complexity of the Fox broadcast crew at the racetrack! When you think that there are people today that make full productions off their phones yet to achieve the quality content that Fox presents is nothing short of awesome.

Brian, Tony and Alan just put the icing on the cake!

Come a long way from that 10 watt fm transmitter in the ECTA timing trailer. The best to you Brian!!!
