(Photos by Joe Grippo) – Yesterday we dropped the first group of photos by Joe Grippo on you and today we’re back with more from the 2014 Glory Days at the Grove nostalgia drag race. We’re still roaming the pits through Joe’s lens in these photos but at the end of the collection of photos there are a couple that show action like Jon Wall’s funny car readying to blast down the famed quarter mile in Reading, PA and more. The reality is that nostalgia drag racing has grown from a little backwater part of the whole scene to a major part of any front line drag strip’s year. From coast to coast, tracks host reunions and other old school races that serve as a way to draw old fans back to relive their youth and give young fans the chance to learn about the history of the sport in the best way possible…by seeing it in action.
There are cool cars galore here and you know from the millions of other Grippo photos we have posted over the years that he doesn’t waste his photos on crapola. The stuff he shoots is always neat and this gallery is further proof of that fact. Check ’em all out below!
