RacingJunk Find: Get Your Mopar On With This 604ci Predator Headed Mill Based Off A Hemi Block

If you are a die hard Mopar guy or girl looking for your next power plant, we may have found you the hot ticket for sale on RacingJunk.com. Coming out of the Salt Lake City, Utah area is a 604ci, naturally aspirated, Predator headed, World hemi block based mill that was used to power a dragster. This thing was running 7.60s with no help from a blower or nitrous in air that STARTED at 4,250ft and only got worse from there. The crummy part is that we’re guessing this engine is for sale because Rocky Mountain Raceways in Salt Lake City closed down at the end of the last racing season and the owner has no where close to race his car anymore. That being said, his loss is your gain.

For those of you who don’t know, the Predator head is kind of the Mopar answer to the Big Chief.  A symmetrical port equipped lump that can hang onto about 1,400hp right out of the box and more with boost and headwork, they are pretty awesome, if not too commonly seen pieces anymore. Available to be bolted onto wedge or hemi blocks depending on the chosen bolt pattern, the heads on the engine for sale are sitting atop a World Industries cast steel hemi block. This thing is stronger than strong. No, not the lightest combo but whatever, you are not going to break that baby.

With a billet crank, 15:1 compression, and a tall sheetmetal intake by Marcella with both single and dual 4bbl tops, this thing is rowdy. If one were going to stick a power adder on it, nitrous would be the first thought with this setup or perhaps knocking some compression out of it before bolting on a blower would be cool.

This thing makes loads of power and it is the cure for the common big block Chevy at the drags. Want to go serious drag racing with a Mopar engine? Here’s your shot!
