SEMA New Product: Blueprint Engines New 302 Block Is The Answer To Your New Small Block Ford Build

We’ve been running a 400 inch Blueprint Power Adder Small Block Chevrolet for a few years now and have driven and raced it with nitrous and boost or both. I bring this up because that engine is based on a Blueprint Engine Block and it is one seriously nice piece. To be honest, it isn’t a “race” specific block, but we’ve made well over 1,000 horsepower with it with a couple of different configurations. The casting is so clean, nice, and precise, and all the casting and machining is done in the USA. The new 302 Ford based block is the same way. The casting is amazingly clean, uses much higher quality materials than the factory block, and with splayed 4-bolt main caps and more it will live under a lot more power than the stock block.

Just as important is the fact that it is a new block in a time where getting stock blocks is getting tougher and tougher. Blueprint doesn’t just design and cast these new blocks for the heck of it, they do it because stock blocks that are still rebuildable, or will support today’s power numbers, are no longer available and they want to build something better. If you are a Ford small block guy, know that there are more things coming for you in the future as well, but build some bitchin 302 based combo now and make big power with it!

This new block has much larger main webs, splayed 4-bolt main caps, much more consistent cylinder wall thickness, thick deck surfaces, and can be used to build combinations that are 360 plus cubic inches.
