203 Miles Per Hour With An RC Car? Kevin Talbot Is Building One Hell Of A Project, That’s For Sure!

I’ve been into RC cars my whole life at some level or another, but there has never ever been a better time to have one. They are cheaper, faster, and more reliable than ever and there are way more options and styles than ever. In fact, there are considerably more RC related activities to do now than there have ever been as well. If you like RC car videos then you should know Kevin Talbot, and entertaining British youtuber who is all about RC cars and trucks of all types. But when you talk about top speed RC cars, there is a lot of stuff going on that you don’t have to think about when you are only going 30 or 60 or even 80 mph with your rc car. Tires become an issue as they want to come apart at big speeds. Bodies don’t want to stay together at those speeds, and just like full size cars, the aerodynamics going on at 100 or even 200 mph cause all kinds of other issues. So why do it? Cause it is too dang cool, that’s why.

In this video Kevin shows us his new toy, a build he’s been working on to take an already fast car and make it stupid fast. We’re talking 203 mph fast.

Watch.

seeing you can buy an rc car that does 100 actual mph out of the box (traxxas xo-1), it wouldnt be very news worthy if this went 200 scale mph. this looks like around a 1/7 scale car, so 200 scale mph would be around 28 actual mph.

aside from rock crawlers, i cant think of any hobby grade rc car built today that out of the box goes that slow.
