Installing a front subframe on a car is not usually considered a super straight forward and simple project, and there are times when it can be more difficult than others. If you have a running and driving project, and decide to do a front subframe swap, it is going to require more work to remove the engine and all the underhood components. If you are starting from the ground up however, doing a subframe swap can be really simple, with the right parts. In the case of this TCI front subframe for early Chevrolet Novas, it bolts in with simple hand tools if all the stock stuff has been removed. And in the videos below, with our friend Todd Ryden from InGear Garage, Todd is going to show you just how straight forward this install can be. It’s not a detailed step by step install, showing every single minute step, but it will show you just how straight forward this kit is and that you could absolutely install one on a Saturday if you have all the parts and pieces ready to go.
