PJ North’s Newest Drag Racing Hip Hop Song Kills It! Listen Here.

When my good friend Ron Thomas, BangShifter Extraordinaire, introduced me to the music of PJ North a couple years ago I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. A Hip Hop/Rap song about bracket racing? What? Really? I must be dreaming. Well over the past two years I’ve listened to more and more of his songs, both about racing and not, and PJ has got some talent. Whether you like Hip Hop/Rap or Country, he’s got it going on. I’m a fan and I’m not alone. His racing family and followers is amazing.

His latest album, Part-Time Cowboy, features a song called HGH (Haters gonna hate), that is all about racing and even features our favorite young bracket racer, Ron’s son AJ Thomas. He’s in good company getting mentioned in the song, that’s for sure.

And it starts off just like every good race. Here are the first two lines in the song.

“Belts tight, gloves on, shield down, so the loves gone. I bump it in, I’m gettin to the rhythm, no friends out here, we turn those stage lights on.”

If you aren’t familiar with PJ, know that he has been racing Jr. Dragsters, Super Comp, and his Stock Eliminator Cutlass for years. He’s not leaker, this guy knows how to run and does it well. We recently talked with PJ and can tell you that he’s got some new stuff rattling around in that brain of his and we expect some killer new racing songs coming.

Look him up on iTunes HERE.

Other great racing songs to look for include

Be Double O

Take Double O

Way of Life

Spray, Slide, and Get Behind
