(Photos by Joe Grippo) – Drag racers, seemingly by their very nature are pack rats. This may seem like a slightly insulting thing to say but it isn’t because if they weren’t we would not be able to share coverage with you from events like the annual Bruce Larson USA-1 Dragfest in Pennsylvania. Once again our own Joe Grippo went, saw, and conquered at the Larson residence with hundreds of his closest hot rodding pals. Multiple race cars under construction, loads of cool cars on display, and plenty of drag racing history from the Northeastern quadrant of the USA.

The photos really tell the story. This is a low-key, awesome and homey event that we continue to miss because we’re too stupid to both remember when it is and too stupid not to schedule stuff on top of it. Joe does not have that problem because he has a brain in his head. We’re all thankful for that.

The man, the myth, and his stuff….below!

Always one of my favorite shows of the year. Wonder if it’ll continue if anything ever happens to Bruce? Guess we’ll see.

I lived in Jersey till 2013 and always had an excuse for not attending the event. From the pics seems like an awesome show. Cool seeing Rapid Roy Harris’s Budman car.
