With little more than a week before the NHRA Mello Yello drag racing seres returns to action at Lucas Oil Raceway Indianapolis, I thought it would be cool to talk to some of the movers, shakers, and headline makers of the series over the last few races. That’s why I called my pals Clay Millican, Jack Beckman, and Bruno Massel to get the scoop on their experience so far in this bizarre season and what their thoughts are on the scene we’ll be looking at next weekend at that most historic of strips.
For Clay Millican it has been two races of great qualifying and disappointing results on Sunday. For Jack Beckman, he’s off to one of the best starts his career has ever seen and he’s a finalist in the rain delayed event that occurred a couple of weeks ago. We talk about that delay and what else he has going on away from the track. Finally, Bruno Massel talks about his initial pro stock outing and how he went from a kid who grew up in a drag racing household to a college athlete, to a multiple time NHRA competition eliminator world champion.
Three great chats with three great guys in the sport!
