Outside of being a great top fuel driver and all around good guy, Clay Millican is a gearhead who loves to work on projects in his home shop. His current mission is building a hemi-swapped Dodge Dakota truck called Baby D. The engine is an Arrington Performance 5.7L Gen III hemi and it will be backed by a six speed manual transmission. But what’s in the middle? How about a McLeod dual disc clutch. This video takes us through the process of getting the bellhousing aligned properly, the tech behind the clutch, and the installation of the Tremec six-speed transmission onto the back of the engine.
If you have never gone through this process, the video is great. If you HAVE gone through the process, this video may be even better. Millican takes his time, actually reads directions, and walks us through the parts and pieces involved in this process. It’s cool that this is not some slickly edited deal that just magically shows things completed with none of the work actually being shown.
Between the clutch tech, the transmission install, and the top fuel questions he answers, this is a good watch!
