Cleetus McFarland Puts LeRoy The Savage On The Rollers At Harrell Engine And Dyno To Test Out It’s New H.E.D. engine.

We shared the video about LeRoy’s new engine the other day, but if you missed it there is a link below to check it out. Today’s video is strapping LeRoy to the chassis dyno to see just how much power this twin turbo beast can put to the tire.

For the last year, Peter Harrell, the owner of Harrell Engine and Dyno in Mooresville, North Carolina, has been tuning on Cleetus McFarland’s rowdiest cars. We’re talking about Mullet of course, along with several others. Cleetus has run quicker and faster than ever before, and has really stepped up to another level on some of the race cars. And while Cleetus has used a couple of different engine builders, and has put some of his own together, he’s now starting to have Pete build some of the engines in house at HED rather than just tuning someone else’s combos. Enter the new Freedom powerplant, the heart of the beast knows as LeRoy the Savage. If you aren’t familiar with this car, you probably live under a rock.

LeRoy is a Vette Cart, that they built and drag raced all across the country while participating in Drag and Drive events, and it’s a car that has set a lot of records as well because it features a clutch assisted, H Pattern, manual transmission. It makes big power, has been tweaked and tweaked, and has even seen some pretty major suspension changes over the past couple of years to make it quicker, faster, and more consistent. Now it’s Pete’s turn to make sure it has all the power the LS can give, hence the new Freedom Powerplant.

In this video, Pete is going to strap LeRoy to the chassis dyno and let’er rip tater chip! Let’s see just how much power they put to the tire on this thing.
