We all know how hot diesel performance is these days. From drag racing to truck pulling and other activities, guys are getting the most power they can out of their factory engines. Understanding that making good power is more than just shoving boost at a stock engine, COMP Cams has developed new camshaft grinds for the GM Duramax diesel V8 along with new valve springs. These solid roller camshafts can be had in Stage 1, 2, or three grinds. As one would expect, the deeper you go into the stages, the more radical the camshaft.

The Stage one cam can be used in the factory engine without having to make any more wholesale changes. Stage two is recommended for those trucks that have been more aggressively tuned and use more boost than originally equipped with from the factory. Stage three is an all-out performance camshaft for use in fully built engines with modified rotating assemblies, big boost, and full-tilt performance being the name of the game over street manners.

The new valve spring packages are designed to handle increased lift and to raise the RPM potential of he Duramax engine. Springs are available for 2001-2005 era engines and then 2006-2016 engines. This covers the majority of Duramax production families.
