(Photos by Bryan McTaggart) – Last weekend, McTaggart planned on going to London Dragway to take in some good old fashioned southern door slammer action and he did. The only thing he wasn’t accounting for was the fact that the race was contested in a veritable oven of mid-summer Kentucky weather. The good news is that despite nearly roasting himself to the core, he got some awesome action and the heat didn’t keep the racers or spectators away from the strip. The strip was opened in 1999 and it stands as one of the nicest quarter mile strips in the state of Kentucky. McTaggart reports that the cars were running hard despite the crushing weather conditions and the strip was biting hard enough that you’ll see tons of wheels up photos in this gallery.

Saw the little, tan Ford Ranger a couple of weeks ago at one of eastern ky’s older strips, Mountain Park Dragway, about a month ago. This had to be one of the cleanest race-truck builds I’ve seen in a while. Little booger is not slow either.
