Gasser Video! The Southeast Gasser Association Finals From Shady Side Dragway

I’m in love with the Southeast Gassers racing series. These guys and gals put on one hell of a show and do it with nothing but stick shifted traditional looking gassers. And each of them has a cool name, a backup girl, and the right kind of attitude. They put on a show, have amazing racing, and it’s the kind of nostalgia style drag racing that puts big smiles on everyone’s faces. With names on every car there is always someone to root for too!

And don’t for a second think these things are all show. Unlike some of the gassers you see at events, these are the real deal and are high winding, wheels up, gear banging machines. Every single one of them leaves the starting line by dumping the clutch and sending it. That’s good drag racing right there. And thanks to Classic Performance we’ve got some video from the final event of 2021.

Video Description:

We visit Shady Side Dragway for the old skool throwback 1960’s era correct heads-up drag racing SEGA Championship Finals! Tighten your belt, dump the clutch, grab some gears and some beers and hang on for this one folks!! SEGA says: “The cars must represent a 1967 era appearance, both on and off the track. These rules will apply to the body, wheels/tires, chassis/suspension, interior and the engine compartment. All lettering must be paint, a foot operated clutch and 4-speed transmissions. No automatics”.

SEGA is the best ever my father and me watch them on YouTube all the time. They have some of the toughest cars around. I even buy all the hotwheels I can find. I wish Hotwheels would copy more of the cars. There is no better thing than to watch period correct cars
