Now THIS is a cool video. Made by the Gasoline and Gears YouTube channel it features the top fuel dragster and nitro funny car of the Force sisters. We’re guessing this thing was bankrolled by the people at Advance Auto Parts because there was some budget on this bad boy. Shot over the course of a couple races with the majority of the on track action being nabbed at the NHRA Carolina Nationals at zMax Dragway in Concord, North Carolina, we get an inside and outside look at the team in action.
This video is not going to educate hardcore fans about the intricacies of nitro powered drag racing but it provides a load of entertainment because of how well it is shot and the sheer quality of the images. These guys had to have been shooting on like full-bore cinema cameras to see things with the clarity that they are seen in what amounts to a great short film.
From the crew guys describing the violence of the cars and the fuel to the images of them tearing down and servicing the engines, it’s really something. There is one really killer number that’s thrown down here and that is the fact that the guys claim 29-minutes as their benchmark for a compete teardown and rebuild on the car. How’s that for fast?!
You’ll like this video if you are a drag racing fan. The imagery is stunning.
