(Photos by Greg Rourke and Bob Chiluk) – Yesterday we dropped the first of a few galleries that we’ll have from the 2014 Hunnert Cars Heads Up nostalgia drag race. This event has been cranking over the years and now it draws some of the coolest gassers and vintage iron in the midwest to Great Lakes Drag-o-Way to compete and put on a great show for the fans. If it isn’t Mike Bilina on one flipping tire in his 1956 Chevy or flathead powered dragsters making their great noises, it is some guy in a Ford station wagon getting it done. That’s what makes this event so good and what has given it the reputation as one of the more riotous drag races you can attend. The cars and the attitude among the competitors is awesome. It is a big party with wheelies and vintage iron….what’s better than that?

In this collection of photos you are going to see lots of neat cars from fun angles. You’ll also see Mike Bilina once again proving why he is one wrong turn from the mental asylum and why people love his car so much. Greg Rourke reports that the thing landed so hard on one lap that the entire trunk lid launched off the car! We love that guy and hope that we see him later this week in Bowling Green, Kentucky at the Holley NHRA National Hot Rod Reunion. But let’s not rush anything.
