Peter Harrell is back at it! If you have been living under a rock, then you might have missed the fact that Cleetus has added Peter Harrell to the team of tuners he’s got helping tune his fleet of race cars. Make no mistake, Cleetus is the primary tuner on almost all of his cars, but with guys like Brent Leivestad, Kevin Smith, and James Taal also part of his program he’s got quite the brain trust when he needs it.
But Mullet’s new Steve Morris Racing Engines twin turbo big block is a combination putting out power levels that these guys haven’t dealt with in one of Cleetus’ fleet of race cars. So it only makes sense that after having some success on their own, but realizing there was a lot more potential, it might be a good idea to call in someone who builds and tunes combinations like this on a regular basis. Enter Peter Harrell, owner, engine builder, and tuner at Harrell Engine and Dyno in Mooresville North Carolina.
With Peter on the keys and Cleetus focused on driving, this team has flourished. We’re talking personal best after personal best which has resulted in this car going from just breaking into the 6’s at 200+ to running low 6’s at 230 mph. It’s been awesome to watch and we can’t be happier for everyone involved.
The video below is Pete’s chronicles of their fun at World Cup Finals where they won once again. Check it out.
