(By Tom Lohnes) – The Honda E, if you didn’t know, is about the coolest electric vehicle you can buy today. Well, YOU can’t buy it today, but our friends across the pond can. There are clear reasons why the E shouldn’t be sold here, but I think the hopped-up drag car version should be.
Packing more than 500 horsepower, slicks on all 4 corners, a stripped-out interior, and the instant torque of an electric motor, the Honda E-drag can be thought about as an eco-friendlier Dodge Demon of COPO Camaro. Set to complete the Quarter mile in the 11 second range, the E-drag is not street-legal, nor will it be winning many races against upgraded muscle cars or even Honda’s own Civic with a few mods. Nevertheless, the E-drag would be an awesome limited-run special that would hold us over on cool JDM performance models for years to come.
There is no price on the E-drag, nor any confirmation it is actually making production, but all we ask for is like 100 of these things stateside. An NSX Type-R would do too.
My god, the ugly goes all the way back to 1976. Are you sure it’s not a Fiat?
That’s ugly, a Fiat is fugly. Last time I looked in the mirror things weren’t looking so good anymore!
