Leah Pritchett captured the 2018 Sam Tech NHRA Factory Stock Showdown championship in fine style earlier this year. She won the last race of the season and beat a driving rainstorm along with the rest of the competition to capture a hard-fought championship. Along the way she became the first stock eliminator competitor to ever run a 7-second run in NHRA competition when she cranked off a 7.98 during the season as well. Oh, she also won the Chevrolet Performance US Nationals as well, but who is counting.
Hoonigan does an awesome series called “Build Biology” where a car owner, a racer, a car builder, whoever does a walk around explaining the ins and outs of the the car that they own or drive. In this case we have Leah as a tour guide and she takes us through all the aspects of this beastly Dodge from front to back and top to bottom. She walks though the launch and race procedure as well as the mechanical aspects of the car.
These machines are really something else and the cool story behind Leah’s car is that it was the first Drag Pak ever built. Yes, this thing is 10+ years old and as we have been hearing, some new steel is headed her way for the 2019 campaign. She’s due as El Bandito, the name of this particular car, has got to be getting a little tired now.

Pro Stock is dead; Long live Factory Stock Shootout!
