One of the things that’s interesting about drag racing, especially when talking to people who know nothing about it, is the type of questions that come up. Most people are not conditioned to understand how fast a car is in the quarter mile simply by hearing a number. No, most people want to know how quickly it goes from 0-60 or how fast the car’s terminal speed it. The “normal” car numbers people talk about whether they know anything or not.
In this video the guys from Full Boost go to the strip and put a Dragy recorder on an awesome 8-second Ford Falcon. This thing has a turbocharged Barra engine and is just a roaring beast that will run in the bottom section of the 8-second bracket. But how quick is it? How swifty does it hustle to various speeds? You’ll find out here.
This is actually something that if we knew, we’ve forgotten so the numbers were enlightening oh and the car. The car is magnificent!
I like that, a lot. Nice clean ride and the cage is tucked so tight it nearly disappears. It also makes me want a turbo Barra engine.
Amen.
