MAHLE Motorsport Introduces PowerPak Piston Kits for Ford Big Block Super Cobra Jet, Kaase P-51 and Air Flow Research 14º Cylinder Heads
Fletcher, NC…MAHLE Motorsport’s latest Big Block Ford PowerPak piston kit is designed to work with three highly popular cylinder head designs—Ford Super Cobra Jet (SCJ), Kaase P-51 and Air Flow Research (AFR) 14°. The new PowerPak piston kits are available for all of the most popular cylinder head configurations.
MAHLE PowerPak pistons are dual-coated with a phosphate, dry film lubricant to protect the ring grooves from micro-welding and the pin bores from galling before the application of Grafal®, MAHLE’s proprietary anti-friction skirt coating that is designed to reduce drag, wear and noise. The kit includes MAHLE’s lightweight, low drag 1.5mm, 1.5mm, 3.0mm rings designed to reduce drag, wear and weight while ensuring conformability to increase sealing and oil control.
